POST LOUIS STRESS FRACTURE

London's Post Louis have been lingering on the live circuit for a number of years now. Consisting of songwriting duo Stephanie Davin and Robbie Stern (Cajun Dance Party & Fryars) plus the help of Mattis Moviken, Andy Stern and Adam Turner-Heffer's instrumental talents, the quintet make the sort of lo-fi indie rock that will challenge you to think outside the box. After a 2 year musical silence, Post Louis returned last month with their brilliantly gritty 'Little Jack'. 'Stress Fracture' is a faster-paced affair, combining chugging rhythm guitars with math-rocky ascending lead lines and unexpected, erratic saxophone parts. 'Stress Fracture''s controlled chaos is guided by Davin's always-impressive vocal performance as she explains, "We wanted Andy’s backing vocal and Alex’s saxophone parts to tumble in out of nowhere, like a car falling off a highway. This song tracks the moment when panic sets in, temperature rises and emergency begins - when something fundamental gives way entirely, whether a bone or a belief.” -Holly Mullineaux
